High-fructose corn syrup is found in many everyday foods, but new research suggests it may play a role in cancer progression. A study published in Nature reveals that while cancer cells don’t directly metabolize fructose, the liver converts it into nutrients that fuel tumor growth. Experts suggest that limiting fructose intake could be beneficial for cancer patients.
