Nicole worked a number of years for a private health care services company in Ottawa, and in the Prime Minister's Office. She subsequently worked as an assistant to the President of the Canadian Cable Television Association, and as the Events Coordinator at the Canadian College of Health Services Executives (CCHSE). In 1991, she moved to Edmonton and in 1993 started Western Medical Assessments Corporation, being responsible as CEO for all aspects of the start-up company, which was the first of its kind in Alberta. She left the company in 2014 to join a degree program at Mac Ewan University where she recently graduated with a BA in History. She is now returning to the company as director of Business Development, contributing her deep knowledge of the IME industry, gleaned from her previous decades of experience. Her volunteer experience encompasses a role as interpreter for a Canadian orthopedic team that travels to Ecuador on an annual basis. She is married, has two children, and is fluent in French, English, and Spanish. Royal College certified pathologist in Canada (FRCPC) following a residency in Vancouver, BC.
